Horse Races

Horse racing has always been one of the highlights at the Iron County Fair. The Utah Horse Racing Association sanctioned races are scheduled for Monday, September 3rd at 1 p.m. at the Iron County Fairgrounds in Parowan. Everyone should be in attendance at this thrilling event! Some of the greatest thoroughbreds and quarter horses in the Intermountain West will be at the Fairgrounds in Parowan to compete for a win! The minimum purse will be $800 with a minimum handicap race at $1200. To race, you can sign-up on Tuesday, August 28th at 6 p.m. at the Canyon Breeze Training Center office in Beaver (435) 438-6204. Special thanks to Kelly Gillins of Fillmore, Utah who will be our announcer this year.

You can now purchase and print your tickets online! Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children. Everyone come out for a good time at the racetrack.
